Scanner works again. Uninstalled Isabel's cute postage-stamp-sized camera, removed the right keys from the registry and reinstalled Windows. So we're only 5 hours behind where we wanted to be. We may have a comic for you tomorrow.
04.12.2004 - Terrence Marks:
Our scanner has stopped working. Or, rather, the driver for it has stopped working. Works fine on another system. Problem is the driver. "The required section was not found in the INF", it says. Tried un/reinstalling it. Tried editing the registry and renaming the appropriate INF files. I tried system restore and it just broke my user account.

So I copied a portion of an older registry. Now it detects it, gives me a Windows XP logo warning and fails to install. Says it's at Location 0 and we can't access it. And the driver pack we have doesn't have any kind of .inf files. If it did, I could manually set it up.

So the short answer, as above, is that our scanner is hosed (Hardware Or Software Error Detected). I'll hopefully be able to unhose it tomorrow.

Welcome to all the Kevin & Kell readers coming in! Glad to have you here. If you're new to You Say It First, start at the first comic. Or if you're new to the whole thing, start by reading its prequel, Unlike Minerva.

We just got back from Ikea, looking at the coolest, most modular, most Swedish furniture around. We're moving about a mile north and trying to get things situated. I've got a few more leads in the job department. So basically we've spent the last week painting and looking for work.

Happy first of April ,everyone. Sorry about not doing an event this year with the Nice- but I did do a swap of sorts- yeap, you see, the artist of 'You Say it First' drew today's 'Namir Deiter', while ND's artist drew 'Spare Parts'!

It's a wacky, crazy swap... but it happens all the time. No fooling.

Ok... now onto the Unlike Minerva book, we have a few imperfect books still for sale! If you are interested, please e-mail either myself or Terrence! Supplies are limited! Please read on for more info...

This collection starts out with the "Peter's House" story arc and goes all the way through till the end!

The book now has more content, including two stories from the Unlike Minerva Play Bill and chapter one of You Say it First in full color, so it's a little over 100 pages long, all for the low price of $10 US with shipping. The books do have some slight problems (which is why they are on sale...)

The color in the cover has slight lines in it... it's only noticeable when you look really closely at the cover. The other problem with the book is that the paper I used was a bit too heavy, so the books are less pliable. Otherwise, they are neat little home made books. Not the best I've done, but great for the price! So order today and help support the comic!

I'm planning on doing some wallpaper drives to help pay for our booth at Comic-con, more news on that when I have it!

Good night, folks!

Terrence forgot to update this comic's news section, even though I asked him too. Bad Terrence- no cookie for you!

*Whip-crack*

Anyway... Unlike Minerva got it's new site design. I really liked how it came out... so please be sure to check it out!

The new Unlike Minerva books are almost ready for sale... still looking into a P.O. Box (it is so damn difficult to get a P.O. Box around here! They do all but ask for a sample of your blood- and they might ask to do that when I ask for a spare key- if they deem my humble ass worthy of one of their fair boxes of the P.O. Grr...), so yeah, be sure to keep an eye out for that one.

Ok, that's all I have- see you all next update.

03.16.2004 - Isabel Marks:
Terrence got the UM archives all cleaned up (now with %50 less clogging!), the site still needs revamping, but we're getting there...

Terrence is still working on the 'About' page for YSITF... hopefully that will be on-line by the next update.

03.11.2004 - Isabel Marks:
Sorry for letting the news section slip... things have been rather hepatic around here, between looking for work and looking after little ones... couple that with our Kevin and Kell coloring duties and you have two people with very limited time.

I made a few very small changes to the main page...so small in fact, that I bet you can't even tell what I changed. :P

Terrence is working out some problems with the weekly view in the archive... it works somewhat, but only if you use the weekly archive button while viewing last week's comics *shrugs*.

Hopefully I'll come up with a better news update for the next comic... till then...
