Previous News08.15.2004 - Isabel Marks:I hope you all like the new site design... basically I used the same one as Namir Deiter's site design... as it was the old one was heavily influenced by it.Hopefully this will be the last one for a while... at the least, the Archive page has been updated to show this recent arc!
It looks(I.E we've paid for the booth) like we'll be hitting Ani-Magic this October 1-3 in Valencia, CA! We'll be located in the Artist Alley (because all we'll have is our own humble stuffs to sell), so if you're in the area or will be- please drop by and say hi!
If you'll look to your left, you'll see the esteemed Ms. Taylor proudly holding this month's donation total... if that number goes up to $200, then for all of September You Say it First will update five days a week! The only way to do that is donate via Paypal... this money will also go into the little things we need to keep the comic going (paper, ink, not to mention the time and so on) and to help fuel our convention funds. If you can't donate, no biggie- I have no intention of taking the comic away because of low donation funds (both my husband and I fully understand how tight our wallets have to be as of late), but if you enjoy the comic and have a buck or two left of your month's mad money, you know what to do with it. :)
08.08.2004 - Isabel Marks:It's been a few weeks since I've last updated the news... sorry about that. Long story short, I spent all of last week raising money to get a few comic books printed up/ working on said comic books/ making art to raise the money for said comic books/ trying to get a web comic buffer done. Well, three out of four ain't bad. The irony is the people who we were going to go through are taking a break from making books for a little... Sorry about the lack of comics last week... on the plus side the You Say it First book 1's bonus content is almost done (and hopefully the people who we are getting our digests printed through won't take a break ^^;;).This current story arc will re-introduce us to Kimberly's "friend" (and we use the term lightly) Emily. If you want to read even more information on her, please check out these story arcs of Unlike Minerva: Emily, You Must Learn All Night Long ,Meanwhile..., No Sleep Blues and A talk.
Yes, that's quite an assignment I have given you all... but hopefully it'll help to tide you all over till the next update. :)
07.27.2004 - Isabel Marks:Well... we're back! Thank you all who came over to our booth to say hi or bought the book (or both!). For all of you who are visiting the site for the first time, welcome! I hope you enjoy!I'm still really, really tiered... got sick while there... expect a report in a few days... but don't expect it too soon... till then, enjoy the comic!
07.16.2004 - Isabel Marks:Comic- Con information:We will not be able to attend Comic-Con until Friday due to Terrence's work conflicts (as it was, he had to ask for one day off...two would have been way to much). Hopefully there will ND Unlimited stuff out for sale, I just won't be able to write in it or draw a sketch in your book (or maybe I'll send some with sketches already in them... hmm...)
We will be located at The Nice's table F3 (in the Exhibitor Tables). We'll be there with Leonard Cachola (who is the ring master of our motley little group), Thomas Deeny (The Nice's PR person), Mark Mekkes and Terrence and myself (who don't have official titles or anything cool like that).
There will be a new, full color You Say it First book available for the first time anywhere at Comic-Con as well. I'll try to have every detail soon!
07.10.2004 - Isabel Marks:Seems like my news updates always start with 'sorry' these days... but I won't need to say sorry for at least another two weeks; that's right, I actually have a very (very...very) small buffer, finally! Now I need to get one done for all my other comics... that would be great... but, till then, enjoy! In other news... originally Namir Deiter Book One was supposed to have been out a little before Comic-Con... but it's just not. So... I need more stuff to sell, because that was going to be *the book* I was selling at the con... In order to help make up for the lack of what the majority of my books for sale would have been... I am going to be preparing a You Say it First book (in color)- more on this (and a cover) shortly. Terrence and myself are still debating on which version of the cover to use.
Onto more bad news... we will not be able to attend Comic-Con until Friday due to Terrence's work conflicts (as it was, he had to ask for one day off...two would have been way to much). Hopefully there will ND Unlimited stuff out for sale, I just won't be able to write in it or draw a sketch in your book (or maybe I'll send some with sketches already in them... hmm...)

I'll have more info on this... later, till then- take care!
06.29.2004 - Isabel Marks:Sorry about the lateness of the comic... we needed to be in bed by nine in order to get enough sleep since we have to wake up at five in the morning everyday for a good long while. The good news is, Terrence has a job! He is now working at a hospital doing tech support. He's really happy with his job to (but then again, after being unemployed for a few months, he was happy to have any job that didn't involve flipping burgers), but we're still getting used to waking up at 5am.
So, enjoy and take care!
06.22.2004 - Isabel Marks:Yes I know the site was down for roughly 24 hours... and it was no ones fault but our own... and our domain distributors... kind of. It's a long story... soapylemon.com was on 00domains' old server... so we were never e-mailed warning us about re-registering it... so it just kind of expired on us... o_ONot fun... fortunately we were able to reregister it (thanks largely in part to all the wonderful people who have donated... over at Namir Deiter...) and it's now on the new (right) server and everything is as honky dory as things can get honky dory .
Hmm... other than that, no news that I can go about in here is going on... really tiered and such... but that's not news. So, I'll see you all tonight with a new comic, yes?
