Previous News03.30.2009 - Isabel Marks:Hi folks, I can't believe it's almost been a month since I last updated the news... it's been a rough one, from family matters and health issues (my allergies seem to be really bad this month and the medication I'm taking for them isn't helping as much as it used to ><), which makes making and reporting news a rare thing. There really hasn't been too much updates on the sites this month (although I have drawn the new images for the new You Say it First cast page- now for the energy to color them and then update the pages x_X).There really isn't much to talk about, in real life news that's not depressing, Terrence and myself are finally getting back into Maple Story, a game which he needed a break from. Personally I can't get into any other MMORPGs. It's not the most thrilling game, the graphics are dated, and it can be a little grindy at times, but we've been playing it literally since it got out of beta (I heard about it right after the beta closed, much to my sadness, so I stalked the main page for info) and for all the reasons I mentioned above, I actually prefer it to other types of games. I like the cartoony style, I am honestly kind of weary of 3D. I love not having to really think too hard while playing. And sometimes if we play long enough, I get that surreal feeling like we've been gone from the apartment for a long time and everything feels different (only a couple movies and actually leaving the place for a few days make me feel that way). It's not a game for everyone, a lot of younger people play it, which either causes us to feel old or to act immature (ok, it makes ME act immature ><), but for all that, I enjoy the game. Anyway, despite my rather negative glowing review, it's a fun game. Heck, any game where I can get married to my real life husband again and then kill cake monsters together has to be good on some level.
On the same note, over the last few years, I've gotten a few invites to the online community Gaia Online... when I say a few, I mean probably five or less ever. I just want to mention thanks if you sent one, but it's not really needed, I've been on Gaia for a while now. I don't really go on it anymore- but I poke it every now and again. If you look, it shouldn't be too hard to find me, but I won't post my user name due to hacking paranoia (unfortunately, it was attempted in the past quite a few times), and if you do find me, chances are I won't respond for a while... so, hi if you're on Gaia.
